Air Dispatcher

Job Description:

This job involves the packing, rigging, loading and unloading, and despatching of stores and equipment for the Royal Australian Corps of Transport (RACT) in their air-movement operations, including airdrops and under-slung cargo. The RACT is responsible for the movement of ammunition, food, correspondence and equipment by road, sea and air. It operates the Army’s fleet of landing craft, amphibious vehicles and all forms of road transport, as well as cargo terminals and special units that prepare, pack and dispatch supplies dropped from the air.

Pay and Allowances:

Initial period of employment, including training is 4 years.

On completion of training you will receive $35,522 per annum.

Entry requirements:

Applicants must be 17 to 35 years of age inclusive, and must be an Australian citizen, have applied for Australian citizenship or be a permanent resident of Australia. Applicants must also meet Army entry requirements regarding physical and medical fitness.

Education Requirements:

Must have passed Year 9 with passes in English and Maths.
