IWVPA Award

21st March 2001

Dear Pat,

Recently, your web site, "The Air Despatch Association Of Australia", was brought to our attention by Peter J. Tibbett who nominated it for the IWVPA Website Award of Excellence.

I have great honour and much pleasure in advising you that the International War Veterans' Poetry Archives Board of Trustees has declared that your site is eminently worthy of the award.

The recipients of this award are not chosen at random, nor is the award available by application.  The IWVPA mission is to promote awareness of the consequences of war by means of the writings of War Veterans and friends of War Veterans.  "The Air Despatch Association Of Australia" is a resource of great value in that it includes writings of very talented people, links to many service organizations, and important information for those who seek and, indeed, need it.  For your efforts, we commend you.

Accordingly, I attach the award graphic with the hope that you will accept it and place it in a relevant place on your site.  We also ask you to link the graphic back to the IWVPA web site at http://www.iwvpa.net.

Congratulations Pat, and please know that your site is now listed on the IWVPA Award Honour Roll at: http://www.iwvpa.net/index-wsaward.html

Best Regards

The 'Boozer' Award is granted to chosen sites for their outstanding presentation of their sites.

Legend:
The beer mug represents our Boozer's setup wherever our servicemen have campaigned, and denotes our love for the amber liquid.

The wings symbolize the many brave diggers who did not return.

It's simplicity in design is meaningful and presented to honor those recipients who contribute to our veterans' community through their excellent sites.
