ANZAC Research
This site was created to assist anyone researching the ANZACS of World War One. As the site has grown, it now also includes information and links to all wars that Australian Soldiers have served in. There is a new online forum where you can list any of your research interests, in soldiers, battalions, battles or books you may be writing.
If you are just beginning to research a soldier, visit the F.A.Q page which will help get you started Make sure to visit my links page where you will find other web sites that will be of great assistance. Click Here for ~ How to research an Anzac
There is a vast amount of information available on the Internet and rather than redo the same things others have spent many long hours doing on their sites, I try to link an excellent range of sites to visit - the Web sites listed are my personal favorites, if there is one you would like to see included please email me.
The Photo Database is growing daily. There are many unidentified photographs of ANZACS so be sure to check if you may be able to identify any of them. The photo index takes a little while to load, but worth the wait. Do you have any photographs of ANZACS - If so I would love to hear from you.
The Roy Shiell Collection has many really interesting, unpublished photographs in it. This is a must visit for anyone that had a soldier in the 3rd Lighthorse Brigade - as there are many unidentified men in the collection. Click Here for Photo Index

What these men did nothing can alter now. The good and the bad, the greatness and the smallness of their story will stand. Whatever of glory it contains nothing can now lessen. It rises, as it will always rise, above the mists of ages, a monument to great-hearted men; and for their nation, a possesion forever
